The ceiling project
I found this one day and immediately thought "Wow! I have got to do that with a big picture of Sandi." I quickly realized I had no wall space to do it with and anything big would not fit. Then hit me. I could do it on the ceiling. I found a good picture and rasterized it then printed it on the company's laser. I wasn't in the mood to print ninety something pages at home. I wanted to make sure that it looked nice before going through the trouble of putting it up so I decided to lay it out on the living room floor. And it's done! This project took 100 pieces of paper, about 4 hours of late night work and about 400 staples. I decided near the end not to fill in the rest of the black. I liked the staggered look that it had. I saved the pages so I can fill it in if I ever decide to. Oh, and yes. I did cut a piece just for the fan.
Everyone always asks me if Sandi thinks it's weird that she's on my ceiling. The answer is no, but then again something like this is quite normal for us. And of course people love their jokes about how "she is keeping an eye on you." Har har. Truth is I've had it up for over a year now and I don't really notice it. If it were gone I would feel like my ceiling had a hole in it. The darkness casts a nice tone on my room. But then again I like the dark.
